Overview

Summary:

Responsible for selling Windstar cruises, a high end luxury brand on inbound and outbound telephone calls. Work with guests and travel agents selling and supporting our high end luxury product. Answer calls in a prompt, courteous and professional manner while providing detailed information on products and services.  Manage booking progression from selling, option, confirmation to sailing or cancellation.  Multi-tasking and time management are extremely important.

 

 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Sell cruises, tranfers, hotels and shore excursions to direct passengers and Travel Agents.
  • Process reservations, revisions and cancellations using reservation system.
  • Demonstrate a strong functional knowledge of the Windstar product.
  • Monitor bookings from option period through follow-up on payment requirements.
  • Complete and forward required accounting paperwork to adjust reservations.
  • Adhere to company policy and procedure.
  • Advise supervisor of all problems in a timely manner.
  • Complete miscellaneous tasks for accounting, sales, marketing or other departments.
  • Organize responsibilities to ensure completion and compliance with standards.

 

Requirements:

 

  • A minimum of two (2) years sales experience
  • Cruise, travel or hotel related field experience preferred
  • Strong belief in personalized customer service.
  • Must demonstrate an enthusiastic and professional approach to all responsibilities
  • Must be punctual and flexible. Calls start when shifts begin. Rotating shifts start at 6:00am and end at 6:00pm (subject to change). Weekend shifts are also rotated
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Willing to accept responsibility for compliance with policy and procedure
  • Must be able to communicate in writing and verbally with professionalism, credibility and confidence.
